Paul John Vasquez has died of an apparent heart attack at 48, it has been reported.

The actor's body was reportedly discovered at his father's home in San Jose, California, on Monday night, according to TMZ.

Vazquez, mostly known for his starring role on Sons of Anarchy, was found unconscious, the publication reports, adding that paramedics were immediately called to the scene.

They were unable to revive the 48-year-old and pronounced him dead shortly after.

Prior to his death, the TV star had played recurring roles on several hit shows including NYPD Blue and CSI: NY. 

A cause of death has yet to be determined while an investigation is already said to be underway.

Paul becomes the second actor from the wildly popular show to have passed away in recent months. 

His former co-star Alan O'Neill died of alcohol intoxication in July, after having suffered a series of heart problem prior to his death.

The 47-year-old's body was found by his girlfriend at her Los Angeles apartment.
