A MAN sexually assaulted a woman before laughing as she desperately ran from him at Camden Markets.

The 33-year-old woman had been with friends at the popular West London markets when the man followed her to the toilets and assaulted her.

Police have now released an image of a suspect after the horrific attack that unfolded on Sunday, July 29.

They believe the man loitered near his victim before attacking her as she left the toilets alone about 7pm.

DC Ish Akkaya from Central North CID said: “During the victims evening out with friends, the male suspect attempted to approach her numerous times.

“However he waited until she was alone to assault her before laughing as she ran off.

Police have urged anyone who may know the man to come forward

Detectives also released footage of the man walking through the cobble-stoned street.

The suspect is described as about 5ft 5inches tall, of a chubby build with a goatee beard.

At the time, he was wearing a blue hooded jacket with a white stripe, dark shorts and a black rucksack.
