A man who infamously stared down Hurricanes Matthew and Irma with nothing but his underwear and an American flag, has done so again for the third time. 


Video shows Lane Pittman and his flowing ginger mane posing valiantly in Mrtyle Beach, South Carolina, on Friday as Florence's winds blow up to 85mph around him. 


On Facebook he said: 'YOU ARE WEAK AND SMALL FLORENCE!!!!! FLORIDA MAN IS HERE!!!!!'

The Jacksonville, Florida, resident actually launched a GoFundMe so that he could travel to South Carolina for his stunt. 


'Pay for my gas/coffee and I’ll go fight Hurricane Florence. MERICA BABY!!! We stick together,' he said in the description for the fundraiser.

Pittman secured his funding in less than an hour, and the GoFundMe  has raised $607. The initial amount sought was $150.


The daredevil first made headlines in 2015 when he was charged with breaching the peace after playing a raucous rendition of the 'National Anthem' before transitioning into a version of Ted Nugent's 'Stranglehold' on July 4 on a Florida street.


He would hit viral fame twice after with his goofy stunts for the previous two years


Florence clocked 90 mph winds on Thursday after it was downgraded to a Category 1 and made landfall.
