FANNY Chmelar returned to The Chase today – six years after Bradley Walsh burst into an uncontrollable fit of giggles when he read out her name.
Viewers were left in hysterics this afternoon when chaser Mark Labbett wound up host Bradley Walsh by mentioning the famous downhill skier.
Loyal fans of the show will remember the moment Bradley struggled to pronounce her name through tears as he hosted the popular ITV gameshow.
Despite it being six years ago, Mark was keen to reminisce over the moment as player Pat answered the question, “Fashion designer Willy Bogner represented Germany in what sport?”
Pat chose the correct answer, skiing, when given the choice between athletics, triathlon and skiing.
Chaser Mark then explained: “He’s a teammate of Fanny Chmeler.”
The camera then panned to Bradley who couldn’t hide the smirk on his face.
He told viewers at home: “That would have been terrible if she’d married him and become Fanny Bogner”
The moment amused fans at home you were overjoyed to hear Fanny Chmelar’s name on The Chase again.
One said: “Fanny Chmelar back on @ITVChase we vowed never to mention her name again. #FannyChmelar #thechase.”
Another added: “Fanny Schmeller rides again.”
Someone else said: “Was thinking that Fanny Schmeller was a skier……they had some names in that team…”
Last year Bradley spoke about the hilarious moment, which went viral after being aired on ITV.
