ROXANNE Pallett is “really sweet” and “so genuine”, according to her Celebrity Big Brother co-star Chloe Ayling.
The kidnapped model, 22, has defended the ex-Emmerdale star, 35, after she accused Ryan Thomas of intentionally hurting her inside the Borehamwood house.
Chloe told The Daily Star Online at the National Television Awards on Tuesday: “She’s a really sweet girl and she made a mistake.
“She’s so genuine. She was one of my closest friends.”
Chloe, who was accused of faking her own kidnapping, added: “I know what it’s like to receive death threats and it’s horrible, people need to stop.”
Ryan won the nation’s sympathy when he was wrongly accused of punching Roxanne in the Channel 5 show.
Ofcom will now decide if the programme broke rules over three episodes that aired in August and September.
The first episode was aired on August 30 when the former Emmerdale actress claimed she “punched her like a boxer” and “intentionally” tried to hurt her when Ryan caught her arm during a playful interaction.
Following episodes saw the ex Coronation Street star break down in tears after he was warned by Big Brother over his conduct.
At the time, he said: “I didn’t do anything! I don’t understand how she can do this. I don’t understand it.”

Despite his protests, Roxanne insisted: “He’s lying, he’s lying. It hurt.”
Although she was backed by a domestic abuse charity, Roxanne was removed from the house following public outcry in favour of Ryan.
An initial 11,000 people complained to the watchdog but this has since risen to 25,257.

Complainants expressed offence, distress and concern at Roxanne’s allegation and the way in which it was handled by Celebrity Big Brother.
Ofcom has now launched an investigation and will consider whether any potential offence was justified by Channel 5.
Roxanne has since gone into hiding and a number of showbiz gigs including a pantomime and radio slot have been dropped.
