An airport in Rome used by budget airline Ryanair was closed this morning after a fire broke out in the terminal.
Ciampino airport, seven miles south east of the city centre, was shut 'as a precaution', according to a spokeswoman for Aeroporti di Roma (ADR), said.
Pictures shared on social media show passengers outside the terminal after it was evacuated.
Ryanair is said to have cancelled three flights - one to Cologne in Germany, another to Vilnius in Lithuania and a third to Prague in the Czech Republic.

A number of flights have been diverted to Rome's other airport, Fiumicino, according to Italian media.
The airport spokeswoman added: 'Presence of smoke has been recorded in an underground area, without consequences for passengers and infrastructure.
'ADR personnel are assisting passengers that are waiting for the airport to return to full activity.'
There have been no reported injuries. A later update this morning said that 'operations have returned to normal'.
More follows.
