"Many Photos" - How the SAUNA selfie has beome the hottest insta trend

In recent months celebrities have been flocking to Instagram to share steamy bikini selfies, in the literal sense of the world.

Stars including British singer Rita Ora and Love Island favourite Olivia Buckland, and even those further afield such as American model Ashley Graham, have been sweating it out in the sauna to get the picture-perfect selfie.

And the newest trend is the infrared sauna, with London's Glow Bar being a particular celeb favourite, which promises to heat up your muscles with less stress - perfect for make-up conscious celebs.

Traditional saunas use stones or a stove to heat up water and create steam which humidifies the room at around 80C to 100C, heating up the skin before penetrating muscles and tissue.

Meanwhile infra-red saunas are cooler at 40C-60C, and use infrared energy to directly heat up the skin and muscles without heating up the air around you- meaning users can spend more time relaxing- and taking pictures. 

The health benefits of saunas include the release of toxins through sweat, healthier skin, weight loss, a strengthened immune system and relief from sore muscles and even arthritis.

Olivia Buckland kicked off the trend with a steamy bikini selfie as she enjoyed a sauna session during an Iceland holiday with fiancé Alex Bowen. The former Love Island star's make-up looked flawless- suggesting she was satisfied with a quick dash into the sizzling wood cabin

Last month Ashley Graham sent pulses racing by sharing a naked selfie as she enjoyed a sauna session during a sun-soaked holiday on Ko Lan island, Thailand. 'Fresh out the sauna' she captioned the saucy snap

Former Made In Chelsea stars Sophie Habboo and Melissa Tattam posed for a double bikini selfie as they sweated it out together at London's Glow Bar last month, which provides infrared sauna sessions

Model Iskra Lawrence beamed as she revealed her post-gym routine on Instagram, finishing her workout by sweating it out in the wooden cabin wearing a pretty purple paisley bikini and going make-up free

In September Liz Hurley carried out a week-long detox at the exclusive wellness retreat Viva Mayr in Austria, sharing a picture from the cabin and writing: 'Four days into my detox at @vivamayr taking 'the cure'. It's brutal but I'm beginning to get my mojo back.'

Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Clifton posed with co-stars Janette Manrara and Luba Mushtuk as they too took in the trend of the sizzling sauna selfie at Glow Bar

Rita Ora got in on the trend too this month, revealing that she was trying out the infrared sauna herself. She regularly posts Snapchat selfies from the sauna as she lounges in her swimwear, admitting 'I'm sweating!'

Former Made In Chelsea star Tabitha Willett shared a post from an infrared sauna in London, standing in front of a mirror boasting the words 'you're glowing' as she got in on the Instagram action too

Former Love Island star Tina Stinnes also tried out the infrared sauna in London, revealing that she was facing a gruelling 45-minute long session of sweating the toxins out of her body this month
