TRUMP-supporting singer Joy Villa made a political statement at the Grammys in a ‘build the wall’ dress complete with barbed wire and a MAGA handbag.
The songwriter stunned the music awards ceremony in a pro-life FETUS dress last year.
And it looked as though she was keen to stir up controversy once again by dressing as Trump’s longed-for border wall.
Once inside, she showed off a low-cut gown with a brick design, emblazoned with the words, ‘BUILD THE WALL’.
“This is what I believe in,” Villa told Variety.
“I believe in the President, I just released an album called Home Sweet Home and it’s all about my love for America, barbed wire, I’m having fun with it.”
On the singer’s Instagram, Villa elaborated further on her reasons for the stunt.
”Shut up!’ They said. ‘Stop talking politics!’ They yelled. ‘Sit down you don’t matter!’ They insisted. I don’t listen to haters. I listen to truth. Building the wall will cut down crime, protect children from being trafficked and stop the 1 in 3 women from being sexually assaulted tying to get through illegally. It’s a humanitarian crisis. I support life. I support protection. I SUPPORT THEWALK!”
Last year, Villa – who is a vocal opponent of abortion – wore a flowing white dress with a picture of a unborn baby in a rainbow uterus painted on the bottom.
Joy paired her controverstial frock with a white handbag with Choose Life daubed on the side.
The eyebrow-raising get-up was originally a Pronovias dress, customised to make her message loud and clear.
She accessorised her political ensemble with a glittering tiara, and bare arms to show off her skull tattoos.
Joy, who has released a handful of singles since 2011, says she gave up a child for adoption when she was 21, and is a very outspoken anti-abortion campaigner.
Explaining her outfit to Fox News, she said: “I’m a pro-life woman.
“This year I chose to make a statement on the red carpet like I always do.”
Posting on social media, Joy explained she was in an “abusive, drug addled and toxic relationship where I found myself pregnant.”
She gave the child to a family in an “open adoption”.
Joy told her followers: “Remember you have more choices than murder.”
