"Many Photos" - Grammys 2019 viewers slam Ryan Seacrest for ‘awkward’ Lady Gaga red carpet interview

RYAN Seacrest has been slammed by Grammys viewers for repeatedly cutting off Lady Gaga during her red carpet interview.

The succession of awkward moments came as E! Online red carpet coverage host Ryan tried to interview the superstar but didn’t so much ask her questions as just speak at her.

And when she did try to speak he seemed to cut her off without giving her a chance to speak properly.

As he told her she would be performing at the Oscars, for which she is a multiple nominee, she replied: “That was like… answer my question but I’m not asking one.”

He tried to recover the interview but then made an awkward joke about him not asking her questions before saying they were cutting to a break.

Gaga was a good sport in handling the awkward interview, playing along with his joke that carried on too long as there was a delay in going to the adverts.

She pulled a host of awkward faces before eventually hugging Ryan and leaving.

Viewers wee not impressed with Ryan’s interview, and took to Twitter to hit out at him.

One wrote: “What a terrible interview with Gaga. Ryan Seacrest is truly awful at what he does. Giulliana should have done it, she’s always fab with Gaga. #Grammys #LadyGaga”

A second said: “Lady Gaga reading Seacrest for his poor interview skills. #GRAMMYs #ERedCarpet”
