What Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho would do for a bit of respite. The club's worst start to a season in 29 years suffered another setback on Tuesday night as they were held at home by Valencia in the Champions League.
Mourinho's grip on the Old Trafford hot seat appears to be loosening by the day amid ongoing criticism from former players and a public row with Paul Pogba.
The club sit 10th in the Premier League, nine points off league leaders and rivals Manchester City. They have not won at Old Trafford since the opening day of the season and their tough run of upcoming fixtures offers little relief for the under-fire Portuguese boss.

United face Newcastle at home on Saturday evening in what looks like a must-win clash for the 20-time champions of England.
After the international break, they then travel to Mourinho's former stomping ground, Stamford Bridge, to face Chelsea before Italian giants Juventus — and star striker Cristiano Ronaldo — visit Old Trafford in the Champions League.
Ahead of the return leg in Turin, United face challenging clashes with Everton and Bournemouth and after returning from Italy, they travel across Manchester to take on rivals City.
Should results go against them in the next couple of weeks, the already-intense scrutiny on Mourinho will only increase further.
As reported by Sportsmail on Saturday, some United staff believe Jose Mourinho could be sacked by the end of this week, while former midfielder Paul Scholes is surprised he has lasted this long.
Scholes launched an extraordinary attack on Mourinho on Tuesday night, accusing him of 'embarrassing' the club.

In the upcoming weeks, United also face tough trips to both Manchester City and Chelsea
The former Old Trafford hero believes Mourinho should have been axed after the defeat by West Ham at the weekend, saying: 'I am sat here actually surprised he survived after Saturday, the performance was that bad.
Mourinho has publicly criticised his players and the United hierarchy, prompting Scholes to add: 'He's constantly having a go at players. He's having a go at those above him because he's not getting what he wants. I think his mouth is probably out of control and I think he's embarrassing the club.'
Scholes's former United team-mate Rio Ferdinand also told BT Sport that Mourinho should take the ultimate responsibility for United's problems.
'There's not a work ethic,' said Ferdinand. 'The attitude doesn't seem right. No one's said about not going out there to win – people want to win football matches.

'If you could win it easily you would. Football's not easy, you have to work hard. That's a basic trait of any footballer or any team to be successful they have to have.
'This team doesn't have that, and where does that come from? That comes from and is driven by one person at the top, the manager. It falls at his feet.'
Pogba, meanwhile, wants to leave Manchester United for Barcelona, even if Jose Mourinho is sacked as manager.
Pogba and Mourinho's relationship at Old Trafford has deteriorated amid a very public spat, however the World Cup winner is reportedly keen to exit whether or not the current United boss leaves his role.
The only factor that could change Pogba's mind is who would replace Mourinho should he leave, with the midfielder interested in working with Zinedine Zidane if he is given the job.
United's back four also face the prospect of trying to stop Juventus talisman Cristiano Ronaldo
