A paedophile who posed as a teenage girl to get boys to send him sexual images over Facebook has been jailed for more than 10 years. 

Ethan Brown, 20, used social media to target boys between the ages of eight and 17 when he was just 16.

Brown, from Waddington in Lincolnshire, pleaded guilty to 25 charges, including possession of indecent images and inciting children to engage in sexual exploitation, on September 28.

He was sentenced to 10 years and two months at Lincoln Crown Court yesterday after police identified 75 victims from across the country.

Forensic investigation of his electronic devices revealed evidence linking his address to the illicit Facebook activity.  

Identified victims were also interviewed in a 'lengthy and meticulous' investigation. 

Detective Constable Wayne Pilkington, of Lincolnshire Police's Child Sexual Exploitation Team, led the investigation with support from several specialist departments.

He said: 'This was a lengthy and meticulous investigation which took more than three years in total to complete.

'This included interviews with the identified victims, forensic examination of multiple electronic devices and the painstaking review of digital material.

'It also involved a number of lengthy enquiries with law enforcement in America in order to retrieve evidence from Facebook.'
