Steve Bruce is facing two pivotal games in five days as scrutiny mounts on his position as Aston Villa manager.

Supporters have called for his dismissal in four of the last five matches and it is understood the club's owners are concerned about the worsening atmosphere in the stands.

Villa face Preston at home on Tuesday before travelling to Millwall on Saturday and chief executive Christian Purslow will take stock during the international break.

Bruce led Villa to within one game of the Premier League last season while operating on a reduced budget but the side are struggling for form this term. They sit 15th after winning three of ten games.

Due to the congested nature of the division however, Villa are just two points off the play-off places.

Keith Wyness and Steve Round, who worked closely with Bruce as chief executive and director of football respectively, have left the club since the summer and a number of staff in the scouting department were sacked a fortnight ago.

The appointment of a new sporting director is understood to be advanced, with Jesus Garcia Pitarch one name mentioned. Pitarch has previously worked in the same role at Valencia but club sources stress other figures are in the frame.

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”

Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
