However, despite getting on the nerves of her husband, it's clear to see the two are deeply in love.
Meanwhile, older son Michael, played by Ryan Russell, works with his dad but is the apple of his mum's eye.
The happy-go-lucky lad is always on the lookout for his latest get-quick-rich scheme and is full of optimism, it's just a shame that his love life hasn't quite worked out.
Finally there's brooding teenage son James, he's quiet and shy, but just so happens to be a talented footballer playing for Weatherfield County.
The 19-year-old is Edison's pride and joy and has his big brother watching out for him - but he's hiding a big secret from his beloved family, will he find the courage to reveal to them and his team mates that he's gay?

Speaking about the new family, producer Iain enthused: 'I am really excited to introduce this new family - the audience is going to love them! They’re funny, warm and will pull together through thick and thin as we play out the stories we’ve got lined up for them.
'Parents Edison and Aggie are soulmates who, underneath the banter, will stick up for each other and defend their boys when the going gets tough. Eldest son Michael is an exuberant, loveable dreamer with a huge heart and is the glue that holds the family together. James is Michael’s younger brother and best mate, who is a sensitive lad with a secret that he fears will throw his family into turmoil and impact on his career.'
He added: 'The four actors we’ve cast are all individually brilliant but together they have a truly incredible chemistry. I can’t wait for them to hit the screen!'
