MANCHESTER CITY star Ilkay Gundogan is wanted by old club Borussia Dortmund as contract extension talks stall.
The German midfielder, 28, is out of contract next summer, but has already held initial discussions over fresh terms.

Gundogan is happy at the Etihad, but has yet to decide whether he wants to return home to see out the remainder of his career.
And Dortmund are keeping an eye on the Premier League winner, with a view to a permanent move in the next transfer window.
An Etihad source said: “Dortmund have had a look at getting him back. He still hasn’t fully made up his mind what he’s going to do.
“Talks have been slow to progress on his new contract. He is happy here but Dortmund have a history of bringing back old players.”

Gundogan spent five years at the Bundesliga table-toppers before joining Pep Guardiola’s City for £20m back in 2015.
But the German giants might struggle to afford his £120,000-a-week wages unless he decides to take a huge pay-cut.
Meanwhile, City will look to bolster their midfield options this summer, which could be a reason behind former Schalke trainee.
Gundogan has played 30 times in all competitions for Man City this season, scoring four times – most recently in the 3-2 defeat to Crystal Palace.
