Hey folks! There’s a lot of cool movie news out there that goes under the radar, so I thought I’d sift through the crap and filler of the internet and bring the best to you guys.
Check out the top news, movie trailers, box office numbers, and whatever else I decide to throw in.

Disney CEO Bob Iger stated that with the merger with Fox, the R-rated franchises they are acquiring (Aliens, Deadpool, Kingsman) will still continue and keep their R rating. Many feared that the House of Mouse would push for watered-down PG-13 movies or cancel them altogether. These movies will still be made by Disney, but most likely not feature the company in marketing or branding.
The 91st Annual Academy Awards will be presented without a host for the first time in 30 years.
They are also choosing to hand out less-popular category awards during the commercial breaks. Rumors are that one of these “less-popular” categories is Best Cinematography, which I would be super disappointed in losing.
Actor Albert Finney passed away this week at the age of 82. He was known for playing Hercule Poirot in the 1972 adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express, the older version of Ed Bloom in Big Fish, and his last role was Kincade in Skyfall.
EDIT: As soon as this went live they released the first image of Will Smith as The Genie in the live-action remake of Aladdin.
And it looks…yikes.
Coming Out This Week:
Feb 13th – Birds of Passage
Feb 13th – Happy Death Day 2U
Feb 13th – Isn’t It Romantic
Feb 14th – Alita: Battle Angel
Feb 14th – Fighting With My Family
Here are some of the better trailers that were released this week.
This is a reboot of the Child’s Play franchise, while the original series is getting a sequel TV show from the original creators.
Spoilers! This trailer shows A LOT from the movie. Pretty much the whole movie. But it also looks creepy as hell, so why not?
