The Polish butcher arrested on suspicion of abducting Libby Squire has been charged with performing a sex act on himself on her street just days before she vanished, a court heard today.
Pawel Relowicz, 24, a married father-of-two who works in a Humberside bacon factory, appeared at Hull Magistrates Court today and pleaded not guilty to voyeurism, burglary and outraging public decency.
Libby, a missing Hull student, 21, vanished after a drunken night out in the East Yorkshire city ten days ago and was last seen on a bench near her house.
Relowicz, who moved to the UK from Poland five years ago, was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of abducting her and officers have been searching his home using heat-seeking infra-red cameras and zoning in on her local park for clues about her whereabouts.
Police say today's court appearance is unrelated to Libby's alleged abduction - but he remains a suspect after being bailed.
Relowicz was swept into court in a prison van today where he faced five charges dating back two years up until the eve of the student's disappearance.
The charges include pleasuring himself on Wellesley Avenue, Hull, on January 19 this year - the same street where Libby lived and was last seen 12 days later.
It is also alleged Relowicz burgled a house near his family home in Raglan Street between January 25 and January 28 and stole sex toys, condoms, knickers and photographs from inside.

It is alleged he carried out similar burglaries dating back to December 2017 and is also accused of voyeurism - secretly watching someone for sexual gratification - in January 2018.
Police say the sexual offences and burglaries are not related to her alleged abduction but have bailed him over her alleged abduction.
On January 19 this year it is alleged that he performed a sex act on himself in a nearby street.
It is also alleged that two years earlier in Raglan Street, where he lives, he burgled a house and stole three vibrators.
Today he was swept into court in a white prison van this morning after being kept in custody for five days and was in the dock with an interpreter and flanked by court officers.
The three counts of burglary from December 2017 to January 2019 relate to accusations he stole sex toys, vibrators and condoms from properties in Hull.
Relowicz was remanded in custody and will appear at Hull Crown Court on March 11.
Relowicz stood in the dock throughout the hearing wearing a grey sweatshirt.
Speaking through a Polish interpreter, he confirmed his name, address, date of birth and not guilty pleas to the five charges.
Members of the media filled the two rows of seats in the public gallery and stood crowded at the back of the courtroom.
Bill Waddington, representing Relowicz, said he would not be making a bail application for his client.
District Judge Fred Rutherford told the defendant: 'You have entered your not guilty pleas before this court.
'The matters are too serious for this court and will be sent to Crown Court.
'You are remanded in custody to Hull Crown Court.'
He told Relowicz he would appear at the Crown Court on March 11.

Last night his mother, Marzena Relowicz, 52, told MailOnline: 'I don't know what to say, I am just speechless. Why are they keeping him jail? There is something wrong here. I just do not understand this and it is all too much to take in.'
Humberside Police said 'a 24-year-old man' - known to be Relowicz - remained 'of interest to the investigation' over Libby's disappearance but has not been charged.
MailOnline informed his mother that her son had been charged with the offences.
Relowicz had been held for 96 hours by police investigating the disappearance of Libby - the maximum amount of time allowed before charges were brought or he was released.
Earlier, Mrs Relowicz, speaking at the family home in the village of Warszewice, Poland said she had to take medication because she was so stressed by the arrest of her son.
Marzena had insisted he son could not have been involved with the disappearance of the 21 year old student from near her home in Hull, saying: her son 'is no killer'.
Mrs Relowicz said she had been told that her son had offered a girl a lift in his silver Vauxhall Astra on the night Libby went missing.
'Pawel was driving home and saw a girl crying,' she said.
'He had given her a lift as she wanted to go home. He had put her address into his satnav system.
'I know in my heart that Pawel did not do anything to this girl. He is a good boy who respects women and would not do anything to harm anyone.'
In a tearful interview, the devout Catholic said: 'If something isn't right, God forbid, then there must be punishment.'
Mrs Relowicz, 52, insisted her son was not capable of harming Miss Squire, 21.
High-tech cameras were used to search outbuildings in Hull near the home of the philosophy student.
Placing a hand on her heart, she said: 'My son Pawel did not abduct that girl. I would rather die than know he is guilty. My heart is breaking over this and I feel so sad for the girl's parents and what they are going through.
'I can't imagine their pain. I desperately hope they find her alive.'
Detectives used infra-red cameras to search the area near the 21-year-old's home and searched a gutter outside Relowicz's home.
Police have been seen removing computers from Relowicz's house and the front and back doors of his home were today sealed with metal sheets by officers.

The investigation into Miss Squire's disappearance took a dramatic turn on Wednesday when police arrested Mr Relowicz at the rented home in Hull where he lives with his wife and two young children.
At 11pm the night she disappeared, Libby was refused entry at Welly Club nightclub around two miles from her home and put into a taxi by her friends.
At 11.30pm was dropped off by the taxi but did not go inside her home and at 11.45pm Libby was last seen sitting on a bench around the corner on Beverley Road.
Detectives think Libby stayed in the area for about half an hour and was wandering the streets near her student digs.
At 12.30pm a neighbour said that they were woken up by a 'blood-curdling scream'.
High-tech cameras were used to search outbuildings in Hull near the home of the philosophy student.
The infra-red cameras are capable of detecting people who are obscured by cover and are equipped with a microphone to hear hidden subjects.
And neighbours were quizzed by detectives who handed them a form with seven questions to complete.
