"Many Photos" - Astonishing moment man tries to steal Kimmich’s shirt thrown to kid in crowd after Bayern Munich clash

THIS is the moment a football fan almost managed to snatch Joshua Kimmich’s shirt from the grasps of a child.

The incident happened moments after Bayern Munich kept up the pressure on league leaders Borussia Dortmund with a 3-1 victory over Schalke on Saturday.

A young supporter in the crowd waited patiently with a large sign asking for the defender’s shirt.

And the 24-year-old duly obliged as he headed over to the kid ready to make his day.

After pointing him out in the crowd, Kimmich launches his shirt towards the fan but is left stunned at what happens next.

A adult fan leans over the boy and grabs the shirt from his hands before appearing to spin around in celebration.

The older fan snatches the shirt from the child’s grasp

Fortunately for the boy, a number of onlookers rightly made a point of handing the souvenir back to the youngster.

He appears reluctant at first but after clocking eye contact with Kimmich, eventually passes the shirt on.

The adult shrugs it off as an honest mistake and the child looks delighted to have something to treasure from the game.

Kimmich wasn’t the only player to be handing out freebies this weekend.

Manchester United’s in-form star Paul Pogba also made a fan’s day a memorable one after handing over his shirt following the 3-0 win over Fulham.
