Eighties favourites The Specials have topped the charts for the first time in almost 40 years.
Encore is the band’s first number one album – and the first time they have reached the top spot since their classic track Ghost Town in 1981.
It followed their number one single Too Much Too Young in 1980.

The Specials told the Official Charts Company: ‘Recording the album has been one of the most amazing trips of our lives.
‘What can we say? It couldn’t have been better timing. A real thanks to the fans who have stayed with us for all this time.’
The band was formed in 1977 in Coventry and has undergone numerous changes over time. They made a name with their ska and rocksteady revival style and provided a musical backdrop to the economic recession and urban decay of the early 1980s.
Their new album narrowly beat Busted’s Half Way There to the top spot, by just over 1,000 sales.
The Greatest Showman cast recording remained in the charts at number three, with veteran performer Ian Brown’s Ripples making it to number four.
Ariana Grande remains at the top of the singles chart for the third week in a row with 7 Rings.
