A DEVASTATED daughter was forced to secretly bury her OAP dad hundreds of miles from home – after he took his life when a vigilante group accused him of being a paedophile.
Heartbroken Lesley Henderson, says dad Michael Duff, 67, was one of eight men who took their lives after being ‘unmasked’ by paedophile hunters.
“Born entertainer” Michael – who was never charged with an offence – took his life two days after a video of a vigilante group confronting him went viral.
Lesley was forced to bury him hundreds of miles away without a funeral – because she was scared one of the groups would picket his burial.
Speaking to the BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire programme, she told how neither she nor her teenage daughter ever spoke to Michael again after the video went out.
She said: “The reality is [my dad] may not have actually committed any crime at all.
“We don’t know because as soon as he committed suicide the case was closed.”
When a pal showed her the video, she started screaming in front of her laptop – and impulsively showed the clip to her teenage daughter.
She wept: “My friend said, ‘Look, I don’t really know how to say this to you Lesley, but there’s a video going round on Facebook – it’s your dad’.
“I just sort of sat in shock. It was on Facebook and I could already see what mutual friends had viewed it, so there was nothing I could do.

“I thought: ‘My life’s over. What’s he done?’
“I must have been screaming because my daughter was upstairs… she could hear me screaming, and she asked me what was wrong.
“I then told her ‘Your grandad’s a paedophile’.
“I’ve had threats, threatening to rape me and rape my daughter.”
