WWE star Mustafa Ali took to social media to show off his brutal black eye from last night’s SmackDown Live.
The American, 32, was defeated by wrestling legend Randy Orton and must have been caught with a powerful blow to the eye.
He left the ring with no sign of the shiner but by the time he got back to the dressing room it had swelled up horrifically.
Ali’s eye injury would felt like salt rubbed into the wound after he had already been beaten by Orton.
Orton took the initiative early on in the WWE match with some fine offensive work putting his opponent on the announce table.
Ali fought back, though, and dropkicked Orton over the same table before going all-out to try and finish the contest.
The match was settled in dramatic fashion.
Ali tried to close it out with his signature 054.
But Orton read it to perfection, grabbing his feet, yanking him off the ropes and finishing him with a stunning RKO.
Ali had plenty of messages of support on social media after sharing the image with the caption: “Just trying to catch your eye.”

One person joked: “This sounds like one of those Valentine’s Day edits,” before mocking up a card to send next week.
There were lots of “get well soon” tweets and funny memes in response while Twitter user @SammyGOnAir_ suggested he predicted Ali to be hurt.
He said: “I did called it. You did get a black eye. Man, get well soon. But you did well in your match.”
Another replied: “You caught mine but get yours pushed back in [be]fore it falls out…”
