"Many Photos" - Shoreham crash pilot Andy Hill was ‘ordered out of the sky’ after a dangerous ‘low stunt’, a court heard

THE pilot involved in the Shoreham air disaster was once ordered out of the sky after flying dangerously close to the crowd, a court has heard.

Eleven people died after Andy Hill, 54, crashed on the A27 in West Sussex in August 2015 while performing a loop-the-loop.

Ex-RAF pilot Jeff Brindel told the Old Bailey that Hill had performed a stunt too low for safety at Southport in 2014.

His routine was cancelled by the control committee.

Mr Brindel added that Hill later agreed he “had not left enough room”.

In a statement Hill said there was a “possibility I suffered cognitive impairment”.

He admitted suffering “grey-outs” in the past under high g-force — a dimming of vision — but said he could not recall if he “blacked out”.

Hill, of Sandon, West Sussex, denies gross negligence manslaughter.

The trial continues.
