REAL MADRID have reportedly ‘given Eden Hazard assurances’ and will make a move for the star in the summer.

Hazard, 28, admitted to French radio station RMC he had made his mind up regarding his future, a topic that has worried Chelsea fans for months.

He said: “I know what I will do. I have made my decision.”

It is understood that interview took place around two months ago but Hazard is yet to inform the Blues of the decision.

But according to the Telegraph, Real Madrid have assured the winger they will make a bid to sign him.

And with his dream move to the Bernabeu on the cards, Hazard is expected to tell his current club he will be on his way out after seven years in West London.

Hazard’s deal will have just 12 months left to run come the end of this season but Chelsea are still hoping to get more than £100million for the Belgian.

Last year reports had suggested he had alerted individuals within Stamford Bridge that he would remain on a long-term basis.

That speculation was substantiated when Hazard declared he wanted to become a Chelsea legend.

However, in the wake of those comments he said talks over a new deal would be delayed until the end of the season.

Hazard has been linked with a move to Los Blancos for several years but that move appears close to becoming a reality, with a £14.5m-a-year contract reportedly having been agreed.

Manager Maurizio Sarri has urged Hazard to leave the club if he is unwilling to sign a new contract.

The Italian said: “Eden is 28. If he wants to go, I think he has to go. Of course, I hope the opposite, I hope he wants to stay here.

“He has the potential to be the best player in Europe at the moment.”
