"Many Photos" - Lady Gaga is snubbing the BAFTAs despite her film A Star Is Born being nominated for seven awards

LADY Gaga is snubbing Britain’s biggest film awards this weekend despite being nominated for the best leading actress gong.

Her critically-acclaimed movie A Star Is Born is up for seven awards in total — but she is going to the Grammys instead. She is in the running for five awards at the music bash in LA.

However, film co-star and director Bradley Cooper, 44, is expected at the glitzy event at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Sunday night. He is nominated in the Leading Actor and Director categories.

A Star Is Born is also up for Best Film, Original Music, Sound, and Adapted Screenplay.

Gaga, 32, who was playing her first leading role in the film, has already nabbed a Golden Globe for its main song Shallow — as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award for “outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role”.

In total, the movie and singer Gaga have already landed 51 awards in the US and overseas. They are also hotly tipped for the Oscars on February 24, where the film and its stars and crew are nominated for eight awards.

Lady Gaga will be hoping to add at least one Grammy to her trophy haul this Sunday. Shallow is up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Song Written for Visual Media.

Her own song Joanne (Where Do You Think You’re Goin’?) is in the Best Pop Solo Performance category.

A Star Is Born, which is a remake of the 1937 film, has made more than £300million worldwide. The story follows the romance of aspiring singer Ally — played by Gaga — and superstar Jackson Maine — Cooper — who struggles with alcohol and drug addiction.

At the Baftas it is up against The Favourite, BlacKkKlansman, Green Book and Roma for Best Film.

Prince William, 36, and Kate, 37, are due to attend the ceremony hosted by Joanna Lumley, 72. Other expected guests include Margot Robbie, 28, and Emma Stone, 30.
