"Many Photos" - Fury reveals he ‘nearly had brain damage’ from brutal Wilder punch that floored him

TYSON FURY has revealed his thought process after being floored by Deontay Wilder in the last round of their world title fight.

Fury had raced to an early lead against WBC champion Wilder this past December – before he was dropped with a flash knockdown in round nine.

The Gypsy King recovered and built on his early lead entering the final round – only to be floored with a clubbing left-hook with two minutes to go.

Amazingly, Fury beat the count and kept his world title dreams alive as he looked to have secured another famous world title win away from home.

Speaking on the first night of his UK and Ireland tour, Fury joked that he “nearly had brain damage” but boasted that he can only beaten when he is “asleep”.

Fury said: “I wasn’t thinking anything, I nearly had brain damage!

“If there is any energy in me I will always fight until the end. From a heavy knockdown he then had 2.30 minus to finish me and he couldn’t.

“The can only beat Tyson Fury with a stick, while I am asleep.”

Fury’s efforts saw him only fight to a split-decision draw – despite his commanding work in the opening nine sessions.

The 30-year-old is set to rematch Wilder in May after the WBC ordered a re-run on their barnstormer.

Fury insisted his 2015 win over Wladimir Klitschko should have been an indication “novice” Wilder could not beat him as he advised the American to avoid a rematch.

He added: “The hands behind the back and the tricks fucked him up but I am not about one style.

“I have lots of plans but when you get in front of these so-called world champions they don’t know how to handle me.

“The tactics for Wilder were ‘stick and move Rock’ some razzmatazz and some skills he had never seen.

“My advice to him would be ‘don’t fight Tyson Fury’

“If an 11-year champ who beat every one (Klitschko) could not beat me then how would that novice?”
