ARSENAL boosted their hopes of a top four finish after getting back to winning ways against Huddersfield.
Alex Iwobi and Alexandre Lacazette netted in the first half as the Terriers got a goal in second half stoppage time after Sead Kolasinac converted into his own net.
Here, SunSport rates and slates the North London side as they go one point behind Manchester United.
Bernd Leno
Didn’t have too much to do, made a couple of good saves, but was lucky not to go unpunished after he came flying out of his goal to claim free-kicks.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles
A nuisance down the right channel as he regularly provided support, and gloriously set up Lacazette with a low cross.
He may not be a natural right-back, but the ex-Ipswich loanee continues to impress for Unai Emery’s side.
Shkodran Mustafi
Looks a different player when he isn’t up against world class opposition. Made a number of pivotal blocks and was constantly made to work.
Laurent Koscielny
Was fortunate not to give away a penalty when he handled Jason Puncheon’s shot, but defended resiliently and was a rock at the back.
Nacho Monreal
Deployed as centre-back again, the Spaniard seemed to block everything in his path.
Sead Kolasinac
A constant threat bombing down the left flank, and put in a wonderful cross for Iwobi’s opener.
But question marks still remain over the Bosnian’s defending, and he continues to be too slow in getting back to his position.
Too many times Monreal had to help out the former Schalke man and he couldn’t sort out his feet as he stabbed the ball home late on into his own net.
Matteo Guendouzi
Cool, calm and collected in the middle of the pitch. Been a sensation since joining in the summer from Lorient.
LATEST ARSENAL NEWS
Lucas Torreira
Another stellar performance from the midfield maestro as he hounded out attacks and was composed in possession.
Constantly provided assistance to his defence and was always making himself available for the ball. Undoubtedly Arsenal’s player of the season.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan
Starting his first Premier League match since December 16, the 30-year-old looked bright and full of energy.
Wasted a key chance before the end of the first half, but put in a good shift. Though he is often criticised, there’s no denying that Arsenal have missed him.
Alex Iwobi
Huge slice of fortune after his deflected volley wrong-footed goalkeeper Ben Hamer.
Nigerian linked up well with Lacazatte, but guilty of missing an easy chance in the 70th minute. It was another game of two halves for the 22-year-old.
Alexandre Lacazette
Brilliant once again in his hold-up play, and took his goal clinically in what was his 12th of the season.
Constantly stretching the defence and making room for team-mates, Lacazette makes it look so simple.
Subs
Mohamed Elneny
Incurred the wrath of Lacazette as soon as he came on after he jumped in front of him for a header when the Frenchman looked to nod it in.
Denis Suarez
Chucked on for the last ten minutes, hardly had a touch of the ball.
Joe Willock
Came on for Iwobi in the 88th minute. Did nothing of note.
