Space Jam hit theatres back in 1996 and was an instant success. Starring the Looney Tunes, Michael Jordan, and of course Bill fuckin’ Murray, the film was by no means a masterpiece, but I certainly loved it the first time I saw it, and it was a slam dunk at the box office.
Perhaps an even bigger hit was Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater video game series, spawning a total of 20 games from 1999 to 2018. Twenty years since the first one hit shelves, the games are now widely considered to be classics. I know I spent endless hours playing them when I was a kid.
But what if, somehow, someway, the two had come together for some sort of epic cosmic skateboard showdown between Hawk, with Bugs and the team of Looney Tunes, and the Monstars? Well, it almost happened!

Tony Hawk revealed on Twitter that back in 2003, Warner Bros. requested a meeting with the skateboarding icon to discuss a Space Jam sequel. The company was set to release the live-action/animated film Looney Tunes: Back in Action, and were looking to follow that up with Skate Jam.
Unfortunately for all of us, Back in Action was a dumpster fire that just couldn’t be put out, and Hawk’s skateboarding project was tossed into the flames with it, never to be spoken of again.

At 50 years old, I’m not sure how many 900’s Hawk has left in him, so someone needs to make this happen ASAP!

Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
