David Blicharz has been jailed for drunkenly abusing cabin crew on a flight from Turkey
A travel agent has been jailed for going on a mid-air rampage after a stewardess refused to serve him any more alcohol of a flight back from Turkey.
David Blicharz, 36, reduced children to tears on a Jet2 Flight to Manchester when he branded air hostess Kayla Stanbury a 'motherf*****' and 'f****** stupid'.
He was arrested after the flight touched down and later claimed he got drunk after a costly trip away with his partner and her two children led to a series of arguments with on their way home.
Blicharz, of Manchester, admitted being drunk on an aircraft and was today jailed for four months after a statement from one of the crew members said it was the worst abuse they had ever encountered.
The court heard he has lost his job since the incident on November 3 last year and his partner has left him.
Prosecutor Zoe Dawson told Minshull Street Crown Court: 'He was moved several times during the flight and he continued to upset other passengers with his abusive language and behaviour.
'At one point it was stated by the crew members that he spilt alcohol on another passenger and was moved as a result.
'Cabin staff stated children were upset and crying, listening to the behaviour. He was purchasing drink on board until one member of staff decided to halt any further purchases.'

Ms Dawson added: 'The defendant referred to her as a "trolley dolly with stupid red lips". She then asked for his passport and her called her a "motherf*****".
'His behaviour became considerably more shouting and swearing at her and members of staff. There was more than one announcement by the Captain expressing an individuals behaviour demonstrated was unacceptable.
'Considerable time and thought was given as to whether it was appropriate to redirect the aircraft. That decision was not made. Eventually staff members were able to take the defendant to the rear of the aircraft and he sat with members of staff for the duration of the flight.
'During the incident other passengers offered to assist the crew because of the extreme behaviour of the defendant, that they felt necessary to ask whether they needed help restraining the defendant.'
Blicharz's lawyer Simon Blakebrough told the court: 'The background to what went on is that his relationship was not going very well.
'He went on holiday with his partner and her two teenage children. It cost a lot of money, and there were many problems on the holiday.
Blicharz said the flight came after a stressful holiday with his girlfriend and her children
Mr Blakebrough added: 'There were arguments during the holidays, particularly when they were planning to go home to the UK.
'He had a little bit to drink before getting on the plane. He did drink more alcohol on it. He had a row with his partner in the seats they were allocated, so he asked to move to the front of the plane and the crew accommodated.
'He was served alcohol in that seat and he drunk it. He asked for some further alcohol to be served to him. He then went to the back, but said the crew wouldn't serve him.
'Things escalated quickly as they tried to take the alcohol off him. He accepts his behaviour fell far below what it should be.'
'He was working for some years in a business travel agency.... he has lost his current job because of these offences, he has lost his good character and his relationship is over.'
Judge Andrew Nuttall told Blicharz: 'It was noted children were present on board the flight, who were clearly concerned with your behaviour and it is highly likely they would have been frightened.
'People are entitled to have an uneventful flight which they have usually paid a great deal of money for. In cases like this, courts make clear a punishment of immediate imprisonment should reflect a deal of deterency.'
