New photo Lady Gaga cries as she earns Golden Globe, says 'it's hard to be taken seriously' as woman in music

Lady Gaga sobbed with emotion as she earned her first and only Golden Globe of the night on Sunday.

The 32-year-old accepted Best Original Song for her work on A Star Is Born's smash hit Shallow at the 76th annual Golden Globes in Los Angeles.

During the acceptance speech the emotional singer said: 'I just have to say, as a woman in music, it is really hard to be taken seriously as a musician and a songwriter.'

In her speech Gaga also acknowledged co-writers Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt, and Anthony Rossomando, with whom she shared the award.

'These three incredible men… they lifted me up and supported me,' Gaga said.

And she paid tribute to director and fellow actor Bradley Cooper, saying simply: 'Bradley, I love you.'

The award was presented by pop star Taylor Swift and actor Idris Elba.

And when the duo declared her the winner, Gaga's eyes welled up with tears before she hit the stage alongside Ronson, Wyatt, and Rossomando.

In a shock upset the triumph for Gaga, who previously won a Golden Globe for her work on American Horror Story in 2016,  was the only win of the night for A Star Is Born, which had been the favorite to win multiple awards.

Ronson - who is often a collaborator with the Born This Way hitmaker - also thanked the 44-year-old actor as he said: 'Thank you, Bradley Cooper.

'You took our heartfelt honest tune and you gave it emotional resonance.'

The song - which has since turned into a radio hit - beat out stiff competition including All the Stars from Black Panther, Requiem for a Private War from A Private War, Revelation from Boy Erased and Girl in the Movies from Dumplin'.

Shallow, a duet between Gaga and Bradley Cooper, earned four Grammy nominations, including song and record of the year. The track also reached platinum status and became a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Later on in the night Glenn Close upset Gaga to earn the  Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for her role in The Wife.

The first award was presented by Gaga along with her A Star Is Born male lead Bradley Cooper.

To achieve her kick-ass figure, Hayden – who plays cheerleader Claire Bennet in Heroes – follows the ‘quartering’ rule. She eats only a quarter of the food on her plate, then waits 20 minutes before deciding whether she needs to eat again.

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”

Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”

SATC star Kim swears by gym sessions with Russian kettle bells (traditional cast-iron weights) and the South Beach Diet to give her the body she wants. To avoid overeating, Kim has a radical diet trick – squirting lemon juice on her leftovers – so she won’t carry on picking.

Kim says: “I am no super-thin Hollywood actress. I am built for men who like women to look like women.”
