JANUARY is full of offers and bargains to try to keep shoppers spending after the Christmas blow-out.
But besides the usual tech, fashion and beauty deals, there could be a few offers you hadn’t thought about which could make a big impact on your spending.

- Table treats: Iceland has a sale across its Luxury range, so you can brighten up your January dinners on the cheap and still feel like you are having a treat. Its Luxury Canadian whole cooked lobster is £3, down from £6, and the Luxury Ultimate prawn ring is £7.50, down from £15.
- Healthy savings: Aldi is easing the cost of a January health kick, with its Super 6 savings on selected fruit and veg. Fresh kale is 49p and pineapples 69p.
- Back to basics: Morrisons has reduced 935 everyday items by an average 20 per cent. Great deals include Napolina chop-ped tomatoes at 50p, down from £1, and Jordans Natural Muesli at £2, was £3.
- Go large: From tomorrow, Lidl is hosting an XXL week, featuring jumbo-sized, money-saving products. Shoppers will be able to snap up a 650g bottle of Heinz ketchup for £1.69, the same price as 570g.
- Brand bargains: Tesco is the cheapest supermarket for branded items this month. As part of its centenary celebrations, favourite items have been slashed to half price.
- You can get a six-pack of Muller Corner fruit yoghurt for £1.75 instead of £3.50. Stock up the freezer with Quorn mince for Veganuary — was £3, now £1.35.

Hayden Panettiere
Size: 8
Age: 18
Height: 5ft 1in
Weight: 8st
To achieve her kick-ass figure, Hayden – who plays cheerleader Claire Bennet in Heroes – follows the ‘quartering’ rule. She eats only a quarter of the food on her plate, then waits 20 minutes before deciding whether she needs to eat again.
Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”
Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
kim cattrall
Size: 10-12
Age: 52
Height: 5ft 8in
Weight: 9st 4lb
SATC star Kim swears by gym sessions with Russian kettle bells (traditional cast-iron weights) and the South Beach Diet to give her the body she wants. To avoid overeating, Kim has a radical diet trick – squirting lemon juice on her leftovers – so she won’t carry on picking.
Kim says: “I am no super-thin Hollywood actress. I am built for men who like women to look like women.”
