AN escaped parrot has been found after her owners coaxed her out of a woodland using a recording of her twin brother.
Owner Michelle Chubb, 32, said she and her three children were devastated when six-month-old Sausage flew off.
After a fruitless two-day search, Michelle used a phone to record the squawks of Sausage’s twin Chico, owned by family friend Gina Pook.
They took the phone to a nearby beauty spot and after playing the recording Sausage began to reply from a tree and eventually flew to them.
Michelle, of Totnes, Devon, said: “We don’t know how she’s lasted in this freezing, wet weather.
“We didn’t think we would get her home and we feel like we have won the lottery.”
She added: “She is one of the family. You cannot possibly realise how much we love her and how happy we are to have found her.
“She’s my baby. She comes into the bedroom for cups of tea.

”She flies up to say goodnight to my daughters August and Lexi every night. If anybody comes in the house she has to come and greet them.
“She doesn’t actually talk yet but she makes a noise like ‘Love You’.”
