"Many Photos" - Liverpool beat Man Utd and Arsenal to top Premier League TV table with most games shown… as most and least popular clubs this season revealed

LIVERPOOL are top of another Premier League table after it has been revealed that they have had their games broadcast live more than other side in the top-flight.

Pending the last weekend of the season where three unknown matches will be televised, the Reds will have had 28 matches shown live this campaign.

Jurgen Klopp’s side also had 28 games shown live on either Sky Sports or Bt Sport last season as they pick up the gong for a second year running.

Unsurprisingly, England’s elite teams all feature in the top six with at least 24 fixtures broadcast live, while three clubs fail to get into double figures.

Sporting Intel’s Nick Harris tweeted: “Every Premier League club is *supposed* to be shown live on UK TV at least 10 times each season. Every season, several aren’t.

“This is one of the (more minor) reasons underpinning growing inequity of resources and a chasm in competitiveness, top to bottom.”

Manchester United, in second place, will have had 27 games on TV going into matchweek 38, closely followed by Tottenham with 26, with Chelsea and Manchester City both on 25.

Arsenal are outside the top four with 24 games shown live with Newcastle, Everton, West Ham and Leicester completing the top 10.

Newly-promoted sides Wolves, Fulham and Cardiff have all had at least 12 matches broadcast on TV, with Brighton, Burnley and Watford just on double figures.

Shockingly, Bournemouth, Huddersfield and Southampton have had just eight matches televised.

Liverpool and City‘s clashes against Wolves and Brighton are likely to be on TV on the last game of the season, with a toss up between Arsenal, United, Chelsea and Spurs to fill the last spot.
