"Many Photos" - Take That surprise viral cancer campaigner Stephen Sutton’s mum and other parents touched by the disease in heartwarming video

TAKE That surprised the mum of late cancer campaigner Stephen Sutton backstage at their concert in a heartwarming moment made possible by The Sun.

The band shocked Jane and two other superfans who work closely with the Teenage Cancer Trust after their children were cared for by the charity.

Jane along with Christine Exworth, 51, and Suzanne Moore were nominated by their loved-ones to meet the band at their fundraising gig at the Royal Albert Hall last week.

The trio were told they were filming interviews about their work with the charity, unaware Take That were waiting outside to give them a surprise they’d never forget.

Jane, who continues to raise funds for the charity after Stephen lost his battle to bowel cancer in 2014, was on the verge of tears meeting Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald.

She told them: “I just didn’t expect that to happen at all. We’re watching this evening. Then a further three times when you’re on tour. That‘s why I’ve never got any money ’cause I spend it all on you guys.”

Stephen raised £5 million for Teenage Cancer Trust before his death at age 19 thanks to his viral #thumbsupforstephen campaign. It was backed by celebrities including Jack Whitehall and Jason Manford.

Jane collected Stephen’s posthumous MBE from The Queen six months after his passing.

Payroll clerk Christine, who volunteered at the concert, was nominated for the treat by her son Sam, who was diagnosed with stage IV non-Hodgkin lymphoma at age 16.

She said when Take That surprised her: “I’m literally shaking like a leaf.”

Suzanne appeared in a film for the charity after both her son Angus and daughter Phoebe were diagnosed with the same rare blood cancer five years apart.

On why Take That support the charity, Gary said: “Two of us have got teenagers, Mark will have a teenager next year, so these are the charities we always try and aim to do something for.”
