"Many Photos" - Mitrovic ‘offered £300k-a-week’ to make £50m switch to Chinese Super League

FULHAM striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is bound for the Chinese Super League.

Guangzhou Evergrande have submitted a contract offer worth £300,000-a-week to the Serbia international.

The seven-time champions have also agreed to matching the forward’s £50million valuation, according to The Express.

Everton, Leicester, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are all reportedly tracking the 24-year-old.

But it is unlikely that any of the quintet will be able to match the fee or wages being proposed by the Evergrande.

Fabio Cannvaro’s side must wait until the mid-season transfer window opens on July 1 to complete the deal.

Mitrovic would bring the number of foreign players at the South China Tigers to five, just below the threshold.

Brazil internationals Paulinho, Anderson Talisca, ex-Everton youngster Tyias Browning and Park Ji-Soo of South Korea are the individuals currently supplementing the team.

Rules state clubs can register six overseas players over a single season but are limited to four in a typical match day squad.

Amid a campaign which has seen Fulham go through three managers and tumble to relegation back to the Championship, Mitrovic has provided some encouraging moments with 10 Premier League goals.

He plundered five in his first six top flight appearances of the season after making his loan from Newcastle permanent in the summer.

Indeed the club have only lost once this season when Mitrovic has found the net.

However, he has failed to register in his last eight Premier League outings, with Scott Parker’s men having lost their last nine on the bounce.

Wednesday’s defeat to Watford saw last term’s play-off final winners consigned to the second tier, and several star players could take their leave.

Ryan Sessegnon, Tom Cairney and Jean Michael Seri could be among those to follow Mitrovic out the exit door.
