HOLLY Willoughby risks annoying her neighbours by turning the garage at her £3m London home into a studio flat for her au pair.

The 38-year-old presenter and husband Dan Baldwin want a live in nanny to look after their three children.

But their latest home improvement idea will be the 13th planning application they have submitted to their local council since 2012, nine of which have been for building work.

The prospect of more building work could risk the wrath of their well-to-do neighbours, who were left furious in 2016 when the couple submitted plans for a first and second floor rear extension to their six bedroom home.

Those plans were rejected by the council, but Holly and Dan were given permission to excavate and build a basement three years ago.

Of the couple’s current plans, architect Brian O’ Reilly said: “Currently the existing building consists of a small garage and poorly lit adjoining room.

“We propose to transform the existing building, providing functional, naturally lit accommodation for a live-in au pair.

“The existing structure would be maximised through the addition of a second floor, largely hidden behind the existing parapet walls.”

The studio flat will have an en suite bathroom with the windows facing towards the couple’s garden and not into any neighbouring properties.

So far, no residents have objected to the plans.

Holly and Dan – who married in 2007 – have sons Harry and Chester as well as daughter Belle together.

Last year, Holly opened up about life as a mum, telling Hello! Magazine: “All I ever wanted to do was to be a mum.

“It wasn’t like when I was at school I thought, ‘Oh, I’m going to be this big career girl’.

“Being a mummy is definitely my most favourite job of all, without a shadow of a doubt.”
