"Many Photos" - At least eleven children die and 54 people are injured ‘in a Saudi-led airstrike'

At least seven schoolgirls have been killed by an explosion at a warehouse in Yemen, medical officials say.

A total of 54 people in Sanaa have been wounded with seven children in nearby schools pronounced dead after a warehouse exploded.

Officials revealed it is not known what caused the blast but Houthi rebels, who have controlled the capital since 2014, blame an airstrike by the Saudi-led coalition.

The area has been sealed off after the blast destroyed the warehouse and damaged nearby schools.

There was no immediate comment from the coalition, which has been at war with the Iran-aligned rebels since 2015. 

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity after they were told not to brief media.
