"Many Photos" - Asda is selling Mars, Smarties, Milkybar, Freddo and Malteser Easter eggs for £1

ASDA is selling Easter eggs from loads of our favourite chocolate brands for only £1.

The prices are on medium-sized chocolate eggs from Mars, Smarties, Milkybar, Freddo and Malteser, weighing between 65g and 141g.

The Easter eggs can be found in Asda stores as well as online

Of the five brands, the Mars bar Easter egg gives you the most chocolate for your money by weighing 141g – and the pack also comes with a Mars bar.

Meanwhile, the Milkybar Easter egg is the smallest of the lot by weighing only 65g.

In between the two are the eggs by Smarties, Freddo and Malteser all weighing around 125g.

Luckily for shoppers, all three eggs come with extra Smarties, Freddo faces and Maltesers in the packs.

We’ve picked out the most popular treats here, but Asda is actually selling even more medium-sized Easter eggs for the same price. You can find a full list of these here.

The prices are available both online and in Asda stores and they’re currently the cheapest around after Tesco’s earlier deal, which let shoppers pick up the eggs for 75p, expired.

But the Smarties’ and Maltesers’ eggs can also be picked up at Morrisons for £1, down from £1.50, making it as good a deal as at Asda.

The deal is available on Morrisons’ website until February 24, but if you prefer shopping in store, you should double-check whether the deal is available there too before making the trip.

Tesco is currently selling the eggs for £1.50, while Sainsbury’s is flogging them for 25p less at £1.25.

If you’re after a different Easter egg, it’s always worth using price comparison site Mysupermarket.com to find out where you can get it the cheapest.

Chocolate giant Cadbury has shrunk the size of several Easter eggs, without slashing the prices.

Earlier this year M&M also launched mini-eggs – and they’re perfect for Easter.

As of last year, a majority of Easter eggs don’t say “Easter” on the packaging, which has caused uproar among shoppers and the Church.
