"Many Photos" - Mel B hits back at Geri Horner for 'making her out to be a LIAR'

Mel B has reportedly been left 'perplexed' by Geri Horner's denial about their sexual history.

Scary Spice, 43, is not happy about being 'made to look like a liar' after her old band mate released a statement calling rumours of their romp 'simply not true'.

With 'bad blood simmering,' insiders also suggest that women are 'dreading' rehearsals for the Spice Girls' 2019 reunion tour, which commence later this month.

'Mel is totally perplexed by Geri’s denials,' a source told The Mirror on Monday night.

'Mel feels Geri is making her out to be a liar. She said, "It’s almost as if she is trying to erase our history."'

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Geri Horner and Mel B for comment. 

A second insider told the newspaper: 'There is a lot of bad blood simmering away. It’s going to be interesting.' 

However, that's not the impression that Geri gave when she issued a denial about the secret liaison on Sunday.

Insisting that she loved all four of her bandmates, Geri said she 'couldn't wait' to reunite with them - even posting a video of her practising the old dance routines at home while she prepares for their stage return, on Monday. 

Her statement said: 'It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumours again, especially on Mother’s Day of all days. 

'Geri loves the Spice Girls: Emma [Bunton], Melanie [Brown], Melanie [Chisholm] and Victoria [Beckham]. She would like [the fans] to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family. 

'Moving forward, Geri can’t wait to see the girls and all the fans on the tour, have an amazing time with everyone, and make some new memories.'

The statement seemed to be in direct response to fresh claims that Geri and Mel's secret liaison was not a 'one-time' thing. 

Sources told The Mail on Sunday it was a case of ‘lust at first sight’ when the two singers met for the first time in 1994, aged 18 and 21, and their tryst last for a year. 

One friend recalled: ‘It was in the very early days of the Spice Girls and their relationship lasted far longer than one night – it was at least 12 months.'

Pure shock: Even bandmate Mel C claimed to have known nothing about it

Mel first made the shock confession about their sexual history during filming for Piers Morgan's Life Stories, and after the racy admission hit the headlines, Piers shared a clip of the moment on Good Morning Britain.

Mel C was seen looking shocked in the audience as Mel confessed she had once bedded her bandmate. 

Piers was seen asking Mel: 'You were coming here to be brutally honest - did or didn't you sleep with Geri Halliwell? Did you sleep with her?' 

Looking bashful, Mel first tried to dodge the question, telling Piers: 'Yeah. We all slept in a bed together, but not like that, all of us.'

But Piers was relentless, probing: 'Did you sleep with Geri like that?' to which Mel smiled and nodded as a shocked Piers checked, 'Yes? Really?' 

She's going to hate me for this because she's all posh in her country house with her husband,' added Mel of Geri who is married to Formula 1 team boss Christian Horner.

The camera then cut to Mel C, 45, with her mouth wide open, looking shocked by her bandmate's confession. Earlier Mel B had pleaded with her as the questions got awkward, calling out into the audience 'why can't you answer this for me?'

'I don't know anything, this is all new to me!' insists Mel C. 

Piers confirmed that Mel quickly made a phone call to Geri after filming wrapped to explain the confession, with the TV host explaining: 'There was a lot of flurried activity after the recording. I said ''Where's Mel?" They said: "She's just making a call to try and smooth things over."'

An insider told The Sun that Geri was upset over what her bandmate said and it has 'done damage' to their friendship.

They told the publication: 'Mel messaged the girls to tell them about what she had said after filming the interview, but she didn’t even say sorry.

'She needs to do some serious grovelling to make up with Geri. This isn’t something she’s going to forget easily.' 

However, despite Mel's fears that Geri's husband Christian would 'kill her' for the very public confession, the Spice Girls tour seemed to be full steam ahead. 

Geri has reportedly hired a vocal coach to strengthen her part in the comeback, and the four-piece were also said to be considering a summer collaboration with DJ Diplo to relaunch the band last week.  

Last Wednesday, a panicked Mel tried to backtrack on her seedy TV confession by saying, it was 'not a big deal'.

Speaking on 2Day 104.1, Mel said: ‘I didn’t actually really admit anything, I just admitted, you know, we had a bit of a thing back then and that’s it. 

Mel continued: ‘It wasn’t like a big deal, we’ve known each other 20 plus years, it was just one thing that happened one night. I didn’t go into detail about it, at all. 

‘It was a little thing and we giggled about it the next day, that’s that. It’s not a big deal, especially not in this day and age.’
