"Many Photos" - Mystery as man is burned alive after portable TOILET he’s using is engulfed in flames

A MAN has died after being burned alive when the portable toilet he was using was engulfed in flames on Sunday.

Witnesses described seeing the burning man run from the portaloo outside the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland, before collapsing.

The victim, believed to be middle-aged, was so badly burned that authorities are still working to identify his remains.

Investigators have said the horrific death is likely to be the result of a tragic accident – although it is still unclear how the fire erupted.

A security guard at the stadium – home to the Baltimore Ravens NFL team – was among the first to spot the portable toilet blaze at around 3pm.

The fire then spread to two nearby toilets, according to WBALTV.

Firefighters said the witness saw the burning man run screaming from the portaloo completely engulfed in flames.

He then collapsed and died at the scene, the guard reportedly said.

Fire Department spokesperson Blair Adams said: “From what we were told, the security guard saw him running from the porta potty; his body was physically on fire.

“Immediately, he collapsed on the floor. He was dead upon arrival.”

Baltimore Fire Department are investigating – although foul play is currently not suspected.

The NFL season is over and it is unclear why the man was in the stadium grounds on Sunday.

Mr Adams added: “We’re unclear what he was doing inside of the porta pottys at this time, if he was walking by or whatever the case, but that will be part of the investigation.
