A BRAWL in Morrisons ended in a bloodbath after six men launched tins of food at each other in front of stunned shoppers.

The violence erupted near the customer service desk as the thugs picked up food from the shelves and used it as a weapon.

It then spilled outside as cops were scrambled to the store in Cheltenham, Gloucs, while shocked shoppers watched the skirmish unfold.

One man suffered a head injury in the incident and there was blood in the aisles and outside following the drama at around 7pm last night.

One eyewitness said on twitter: “Go to Morrisons for a lemon meringue pie and it all kicks off at Up Hatherley with a punch up #unexpected.”

The group of six men fled the scene by the time police arrived, with a car also reportedly damaged.

Cops are now trawling the store’s CCTV footage in a bid to identify those involved in the fracas.

Gloucestershire Police said: “We are making enquiries and there have been no arrests.”

A Morrisons spokesman said: “We are assisting police with their investigation.”

Anyone with information can contact Gloucestershire police on 101 quoting incident 377 of Thursday, September 20.
