DIOGO DALOT has been rewarded for his excellent debut performance for Manchester United with the axe.
Not that he should worry, manager Jose Mourinho just wants to protect his teenage full-back who he believes has a big future at Old Trafford.

The 19-year-old joined United for £19million from Porto this summer but his start for the club has been delayed by a knee injury.
However, he wowed Red Devils fans with his performance against Young Boys of Berne in a 3-0 Champions League win in Switzerland on Wednesday.
Mourinho will rest him for tomorrow’s visit of Wolves and give him his Old Trafford bow in the Carabao Cup against Derby on Tuesday.
Mourinho said: “I want him in this process of adaptation to play totally fresh, so he’s not playing tomorrow, he plays Tuesday again.

“To play for Manchester United is difficult enough for a kid of 19-years-old coming from another country and after an important injury and surgery.
“That is difficult enough, he doesn’t need to face more difficulty.
“He played on a difficult pitch, recovered totally and Tuesday play again
“But he showed, for the ones that don’t know him, that he is not here just to develop but to compete for a position and is a very good player.”

Antonio Valencia will return to the side for Dalot as United prepare to face one of this season’s surprise packages so far Wolves.
Mourinho said: “Last season they were dominant, and we all know that is not easy to be dominant in Championship, even if you have the best team.

“They were dominant from the beginning until the end and then had a strong market, great work, great adaptation to the Premier League.
“They are not just getting the points but the performances that makes them feel and everybody feel, I include myself, that they are going to have a very stable season.
“They are very far from the problems normally a team that comes from the Championship has.”
