Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner is reportedly dating Alexa Chung lookalike Louise Verneuil.

According to The Sun, the 32-year-old rock star is in the early days of a romance with the French singer, who is a dead ringer for his ex with similarly defined features and tousled brunette tresses.

This comes just days after it was reported that Alex had split from girlfriend of three years Taylor Bagley, with sources saying the pair called time on their romance over the summer.

The source said: 'It is still very early days but Alex has been spending time with Louise during the band's current tour. Things only recently ended with Taylor so he isn't rushing into anything serious.

'They enjoy each other's company and it's no secret that Louise has always held a flame for Alex. Her friends know he is exactly her type so she is obviously very happy they have grown close.'

With her distinct features and wavy brunette tresses, Louise is a dead ringer for Alex's ex Alexa Chung, who he dated for five years before splitting in 2011.  

The news comes mere days after it was reported that Alex had split from his long-term model girlfriend Taylor Bagley, though sources said the couple had actually called it quits in July.

A source told The Sun: 'They were private about their relationship and never really spoke about each other. But behind closed doors they were really close for a long time and very much in love.

'In July they made the decision to separate, though. That’s why she hasn’t been with him while the band have been touring the UK.

'She has instead stayed home in the US.'

The couple were so serious that they had matching tattoos inked on their arms of each other's names.

In 2016, Alex said of his relationship: '[dating in the public eye has] always been hard, definitely. But now, I guess, this is a new chapter, in a way. I’m excited.' 

Taylor hadn't posted about Alex since June on social media, with the couple's split happening a month later.
